Resin Bound Driveways

Premium premium resin in 45 colour blends. SUDS-compliant, weed-free, built to last over a decade with basic care.

Explained

What is a resin bound driveway?

Staffordshire Paving & Landscaping have installed thousands of metres of tarmac and in recent years resin bound driveways, gaining us a reputation as one of Staffordshire's leading driveway installers.

A resin bound driveway is a layer of natural aggregate stones blended with a clear, UV-stable resin and trowelled onto a prepared base. The finished surface is seamless, permeable, and lasts well beyond a decade with basic care.

What we install

Resin bound

Ashby-de-la-Zouchs mixed through the resin before laying. Seamless, permeable, no loose stones. The premium system.

Not what we install

Resin bonded

Ashby-de-la-Zouchs scattered onto wet resin. Can shed loose stones over time. Cheaper, lower spec.

It's why resin bound costs more, and why it lasts. Every Staffordshire Paving install uses the higher-spec bound system — the whole surface holds together as one continuous mat.

Reasons

Why resin?

  • SUDS-compliant. Permeable to rainwater — no separate drainage planning required for most domestic installs.
  • Weed-free. No joints for weeds to grow through. Sweep or jet-wash to clean.
  • 45 premium-grade colours. From charcoal grey to honey gold, from natural blends to bold contrasts.
  • Decade-plus lifespan. With basic upkeep, a premium resin drive will outlast most tarmac installs.
  • Premium look. The finish high-end developers and architects specify. Whether your house is period or modern, there's a blend that fits.

Coverage you don't pay for

Two guarantees, not one

Every resin driveway we install comes with two separate guarantees that stack on top of each other.

20
Years

manufacturer resin warranty

Covers the resin material itself — colour stability, UV resistance, structural integrity of the resin mat. Backed by premium-grade, not just us.

5
Years

Staffordshire Paving workmanship guarantee

Covers our install — base preparation, edging, drainage and trowelling. If anything we did fails inside five years, we come back and fix it.

Workmanship covers our install. premium-grade covers the material. Between them, you're protected on both the surface and the work that sits beneath it.

Process

How it works

01

Plan

Free site visit. We mark up your drive, measure the area, talk through premium-grade colour blends and Tobermore edging styles, and give you a fixed-price quote. Schedule fixed before we start.

02

Ground prep

Full ground excavation to required depth. Type 1 MOT sub-base compacted in layers. Premium Tobermore tegula edging set tight to your specification. Drainage tied to existing downpipes where needed.

03

Install and handover

Genuine premium resin system, factory-mixed and hand-trowelled by our fully trained crew. Walk on it the next day, drive on it 24–48 hours after that. Final clean, aftercare brief.

How long it takes

A typical resin driveway takes 4–7 working days from start to handover — longer on larger sites or where major groundworks are needed. We'll give you a fixed schedule before we start. Once the resin is down, you can walk on it the next day and drive on it 24–48 hours after that.
